CRREL is very active in outreach activities. There are K-12 classroom activities designed to entrain the next generation of scientists. There are also programs for undergraduate and graduate students. For example, we participate in the Dartmouth College Women in Science Project providing research opportunities for first and second year women undergraduates. There are graduate students pursuing M.S. and PhD. degrees under the guidance of CRREL staff.

There are also outreach efforts directed at the public such as giving lectures, conducting adult education courses, working with print and electronic media, and participating in activities such as PolarPalooza.
